Sadly, your heart cannot choose who to love. You can’t force yourself to love the right person or to stop suffering for the wrong one.
If you could, your life would have been much easier.
But since you can’t, sometimes you easily fall for the wrong men. For the men who are obviously not right for you and who will only give you a headache.
You fall for the people who don’t deserve to have your love. You fall for the people who you know will break your heart. For the people who you know will hurt you.

But this is something that you have a hard time accepting. You fight for this person’s love even though deep down, you know you’ll never get it.
You did everything by the book. You gave your best to this man, but even this wasn’t enough. You were always there for him, and you showed him all of your love.
At the same time, you were careful not to appear extremely clingy or too desperate. You always made sure not to bore him, and you always gave him enough space.
You never asked for much from him. You just wanted his love and his attention. You just wanted him.
But no matter how hard you tried, you never got it. No matter what you did, this guy never gave you his heart, and he never appreciated everything you were giving to him.

You have to accept that some people don’t know how to receive love from others and how to give it to them.
That some people think that they are good enough on their own and that they will never give you the love you want.
You might wonder how come this guy doesn’t walk away from you once and for all if this is the case.
Well, another harsh truth is that he is comfortable with you loving him. He enjoys having you in his life. He enjoys having someone to take care of him and having someone who puts him first.
And even though he knows that he could never give you what you need and even though he knows that he is making you miserable with his behavior, the fact is that he will probably never be the first one to end things and leave your side.
The fact is that the only way to move on from this man and to get over the feelings you have for him is to be strong enough to cut him off completely.
I know this will be quite hard. But it is something you have to do, and it is the only thing which will get you out of your misery.
It is the only thing which will prevent you from completely destroying yourself emotionally and mentally.
And the sooner you understand all of this and the sooner you accept that this man is not right for you, the easier it will be to do what you need to do.
