Love Advice: Here’s How Long It Takes A Man (Or Woman) To Fall In Love
Is there love at first sight? How long do you have to court a man (or woman) to make him fall in love with you? What and how: what to do, how to impress… However, according to research, it only takes 1/5 of a second for your brain to release substances that cause a state
of euphoria after you look at a person—the same as when taking cocaine.
These substances affect 12 different areas of the brain and essentially cause different types of love: romantic, passionate, friendly…
Passionate is the kind that immediately literally covers you without thinking or realizing anything. Unlike friendly love, which usually appears over time, including in couples.
This also means that love at first sight is possible (the only question is what kind of love): when you first look at a person you like and when you think about your loved one, the same hormones are released on a physical level.
That’s why we write so often about how not to confuse passion and love. Passion is love at first sight. You can be instantly drawn to a person; it’s chemistry—the chemistry of hormones. And if you get together and everything works out for you and you are happy for the rest of your lives, it will not be love at first sight. It will simply be a happy coincidence: when a person arouses passion in you, then your characters and personalities can get along together and love each other.
On the other hand, this discovery about 1/5 of a second does not mean that if you did not immediately feel passion or something else for a person, then nothing can work out for you. Love can develop and transform, including from friendly to romantic, and vice versa.
The truth is that you can’t make a science out of love. The truth is that we still have a lot to write and think about what love is❣️
