1. There are her things in the apartment
For example, cups, some souvenirs, or gifts. If you and a man start living together, it is better to get rid of such items. Otherwise, every time they catch his eye, they will remind him of his former lover.
2. He communicates with her on social networks.
Perhaps they remained friends, and the man sees nothing wrong with commenting on his ex’s photo or sending her a song or video. But this may also indicate that your partner cannot forget his ex-lover and strives to continue communication.
3. He constantly complains to you about his ex.
Her name or situations in which she took part often come up in conversations. If a man overreacts to questions about his ex or responds to them in a very emotional way, delving into the past, this may mean that the emotional wounds from the relationship are still bothering him.
If a man uses his ex-lover as an example and talks about little things that she did that you didn’t do, this is a clear sign that his feelings for his ex have not yet cooled down. Perhaps you are only a substitute for your partner, not the most successful one. This certainly should not be tolerated.
5. He doesn’t talk about his ex at all.
Another extreme is when a man is hostile to questions about his ex-lover. This could be a sign of unresolved conflict or that his feelings for her are still alive.
