Relationship Advice: 3 Things to Remember When You Fall in Love With Someone

3 Things to Remember When You Fall in Love with Someone
Many people wonder what to remember when I fall in love. Let’s figure out together this important question for all of us.

If you are starting to fall in love with someone, is there anything you should pay attention to? What are the traps people fall into and then their feelings and relationships suffer?

There is nothing better than the feeling of being overwhelmed by a wave of love; it is all-encompassing and impulsive. Our thoughts turn into a whirlpool; it is difficult to make serious decisions and behave rationally. The chemistry of feelings overwhelms you, and it lasts for 24 hours.

A series of questions comes to mind:  What is he doing? What is he thinking about right now? Am I being thought of? Whatever he does, I hope he is happy. What does the long-term hold for us? Am I too attached? How do our names sound together? Should I text him? Am I being too clingy? What would be the perfect vacation for us? Are we similar?

Our minds go wild over love interests.  To help you clear your head (somewhat), here are three things to remember when you’re in love.

Here are 3 things to remember when you fall in love with someone

1. You may be excited

Yes, you will get distracted when thoughts of him enter your mind… and that’s completely normal.

Instead of resisting it or trying to rationalize it, embrace it.  Let the excitement flow through your body. Every emotion you feel has a reason, and this burst of excitement is likely to teach you,  “This is important. What’s happening right now is important to you. Be happy about it.”

2. You are allowed to feel some anxiety.

Along with the excitement you feel about your new love interest, you’ll likely feel some nervousness and anxiety.

When you have a new partner, it can cause you a lot of anxiety, worry, and even fear. Each of us has a story, and many of us have gone through the unpleasant experience of breakups and toxic relationships. That is why new love can cause fear and anxiety.

Maybe you are worried that everything is going too fast and too good to be true. Remember that  Love is a risk; it always is.

The excitement we just wrote about can easily be mistaken for anxiety. Don’t get worked up; let yourself love.

3. Don’t let yourself be left on the sidelines of life

Some people tend to abandon their friends and family. They forget about responsibilities and personal interests when they start a new romantic relationship.  I understand how tempting this model is; after all, you want to see only him and not be distracted by anything else. You want to belong only to him and dissolve in your love completely. You want to spend all your time with your new lover, and no one will judge you for it. But think about it: is it too much?

It’s important to continue doing things that make you happy that aren’t tied to your new partner If 100% of your emotional fulfillment comes from your new partner, you may end up resenting them for taking up all your time. In turn, your partner may feel trapped in the relationship. It will be suffocating for them and unsettling to realize that they are providing most of your happiness.

We all need to have multiple sources of happiness and inspiration, and while there’s nothing wrong with being with a partner who makes you feel happy, you should also experience joy from other sources in your life.

If this question is particularly difficult for you, approach one or two of your closest friends in advance and tell them directly:

“Look, I think I’m starting to fall in love with this person, and I want to make sure I’m still being myself and not completely caught up in this. I don’t want to get caught up in my relationship.

I value our friendship and want to continue communicating with you. Can you help me out by promising me that I will hang out with you every 1-2 weeks just to make sure I am me? That would help me a lot.”

Keep doing the things that make you and keep seeing the people that make you happy, and then your love relationships will be happy.
