Don’t waste your time on someone who doesn’t make time for you. No matter how busy he is, no matter how hectic his days are, he will make time if he wants. He will make time if he cares; everything else is an excuse.
Don’t waste your texts on someone who ignores them, or answers them in a few hours or sometimes even days. Don’t waste them on someone who regularly forgets to text first and then comes back with some lame excuses. Don’t waste them wanting to know how he is and how his day went if he doesn’t ask you about how you are and about your day.
Don’t waste your days thinking about someone who only gives you his nights. He should know how your smile looks during the day, too. He should want to get to know the other side of you that only day brings. He is not sure about you if he calls only in the middle of the night, drunk, lonely and with just one thing on his mind.
Don’t waste your time on someone whose actions don’t coincide with his words. He is sweet-talking you one day and betrays your trust the next. He makes you promises but never sticks to them. A man who tells you something one day and changes his opinion the next is not the one for you.
Don’t waste your time on someone who gives you mixed signals. On someone who makes sure all the conversations with your friends are about trying to decipher what he meant and why he did what he did.
Don’t waste your time on someone who doesn’t grant you a good night’s sleep knowing that you are safe and sound. Or that you are the only one for him. Or that you don’t have to worry about another woman.
Don’t waste your time on someone who doesn’t share his world with you. On someone who doesn’t talk to you about the things that are important to him. On someone who keeps you a secret from his friends and family. On someone who keeps them a secret from you. If he was sure he wanted you to be a meaningful part of his world, he would tell them about you.
Don’t waste your time on someone who takes ten steps back when things get one step more serious. You should both be moving at a similar pace, without many or any fears.
Don’t waste your love on someone who is scared to feel. On someone who is not into you the same way you are into him. All your feelings and all your investment should be reciprocated. He is not sure if he is giving anything less.
Don’t waste your time on someone who is not sure about you. If he was sure, he would find the time. He would make an effort. He would text. He would never leave you guessing his words or actions. He would be a man of his word. He would never put you in a situation where you have to question his intentions. He would never let you be in a situation where you even have to question if he is sure about you or not.
Don’t waste your time, because you could be with someone else. With someone who never makes you question his feelings. With someone who knows who he is and where he stands with you. With someone sure about you as much as you are sure about him. That’s the guy you should give your time to.
