As much as we loved the Divergent books and movies, our favorite thing about the series was wondering which faction we might join if we lived in its post-apocalyptic future. Aries (March 21 – April 19): Dauntless

Brave and daring Aries were basically born to be Dauntless. You’re tough and courageous, and you feel most alive when you’re taking on new experiences and challenging all of your fears. The faction also loves pushing their bodies to the limit. Luckily, you also have the active lifestyle and energetic attitude that would allow you to take on all of it. You believe that you can overcome anything if you’re brave enough, and with that attitude, it just might be true.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Candor

Honest and direct Taurus is the best fit for Candor. Your common sense is second to none, and you’re not afraid of dispensing wisdom, no matter who it might hurt. You’re not one to skirt around issues and you tell things as they are. When you think someone is doing something stupid, you have no qualms about telling them so. After all, you have no time for messing around, and you like things to be done properly the first time around.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Amity

Gemini’s tendency to be a social butterfly makes them most likely to fall in the Amity faction. If you could, you would be friends with everyone you meet, and you’d love it if you could ensure that everyone was also friendly with one another. You dislike getting into arguments and would prefer that people calm down and just be happy in the presence of each other. Amity is also a faction of huggers, and you can totally get onboard with that.

 

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Abnegation

Caring and sensitive Cancers would likely find themselves in the Abnegation faction. You depend a lot upon those who are closest to you. You love to be able to lend a listening ear to them, and hope that they’ll be able to provide the same for you in return whenever you need it. While some people might see your strong emotions as a detriment, they actually make you stronger. Your feelings guide you and make you even more capable in life.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Dauntless

Leos put themselves in the center of every situation and are always driven to take action, making them Dauntless. When you enter a room, you’d love it for all eyes to be on you. That desire for admiration takes a certain amount of courage. You put yourself out there and constantly risk what you have in the quest to get more out of the life you want to lead, and things are never boring when you’re around.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Erudite

Virgo’s studious and analytical ways make Erudite just the faction for them. You belong to the sign that’s most likely to read and learn for pleasure, and you enjoy soaking up knowledge, both for your own personal gain and for the satisfaction of knowing more than anyone else. Your curiosity is matched only by your desire for structure. You pride yourself in your cleverness, and no one can ever accuse you of ignorance or being out of the loop.

 

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Amity

Libra’s peacekeeping ways make them shoo-ins for Amity. You tend to struggle when conflicts arise, especially between your friends, and even though you desire strongly for them to find balance, it’s tough for you to facilitate it without picking sides. Justice is important to you, and you’d love to get there by getting everyone to agree, first. If anyone wishes they could inject everyone around them with a peace serum, it’s Libra.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Dauntless

Scorpios’ strong wills and unmatched focus make them Dauntless. You never back down from a challenge and absolutely can’t stand losing. That’s why you’re willing to do everything to take down whatever stands in your way, no matter how tough things get. You tend to keep to yourself, and only a select few really know the real you. Your biggest fear is failure—but as long as you manage to succeed, no one has to ever find out.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Candor

Sagittarius is open-minded and optimistic, but they also frequently fail to think before they speak, making them perfect candidates for Candor. You prefer your relationships to be open and honest because you simply don’t see the point of white lies. You believe a painful truth is always better than a beautiful lie. You’ll often say something because you think someone wants to hear things as they really are, when actually a little tact could have prevented them some heartache. Thankfully, you’re hard to stay mad at for too long.

 

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): Erudite

Capricorns work hard to know everything, and they’d fit in well with the Erudite faction. You’re serious-minded and many see you as someone who’s all work and no play. You don’t mind being thought of as a know-it-all because you do have a strong desire to know everything. You never expect knowledge to fall into your lap, and you’re willing to put in the time and energy in order to know more than the people around you. You can be a little bit patronizing at times, but chances are that you’ve earned it.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Abnegation

Aquarius’ humanitarian nature make them the best fit for Abnegation. Though you will always remain fiercely independent, you’re also extremely altruistic. At the end of the day, you care more about the people of the world as a whole than you care about yourself, and you’ll always put your own wants and needs aside for the greater good. Helping people never fails to boost your mood, and the more you do it, the better you’ll feel about yourself.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): Abnegation

Pisces’ empathetic nature also would land them in Abnegation. You belong to the most selfless zodiac sign, and you’re always inclined to put yourself aside for a bigger purpose. You’re willing to put yourself on the line for others, even if it means you’re not getting anything in return, and you tend to lay low in your life because you dislike attracting too much attention to yourself. Chances are that your compassion will take you to great heights.
