An Open Letter To The Girl Who Stopped Loving Herself
You are a girl who will continue giving until she has got nothing left.
You are draining yourself. You want to make everyone around you happy and loved. But, in the process, you are forgetting about the most important person—YOU.
People think they can walk all over you because you lack self-appreciation.
Although you think that you are doing good by giving all the love you have to others, that love is not sincere. It can’t be, and it won’t be until you learn to love yourself.
After you learn to love and appreciate yourself, then your love for people you care about will be pure and honest.
I know it’s hard for you to put a stop to everything all of a sudden, but don’t let people use you. People are a-holes, at least most of them. They will use any opportunity they get to suck you dry. If you are a good person, and you are, they will destroy you. They will be needing more and more each day—until you have nothing left to give them.
You mustn’t let everyone else be better and more important than you. No one has the right to control your life. Do you want to grow old and regret that you allowed others to push you behind the scenes of your own life when your place is in the first line of the stage?
In your life, you are the most important—you are playing the starring role and the world revolves around you. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you will be able to say, ‘No’.
You will not let anybody down if you don’t jump to grant their every wish. If you don’t feel like going out and if you feel like staying home—stay at home. After all, if any of those people were your true friends, they would get it. But, no, these are the leeches who need your energy to feed off of. Otherwise, they would die.
Remember that you need to take care of yourself. It’s perfectly ok to just stop and rewind yourself. Reconsider some things. Find those that really matter to you because after all, you matter. Don’t forget that.
Be on your own and love yourself first. Everything else will fall back into its place.
