The dating portal “Parship” got to the bottom of this question. We have the answer for you.
Too much arguing, different goals, or an affair: There are many reasons why a relationship falls apart. But who is more likely to end it? Women or men?
To investigate this question, the dating portal “Parship” surveyed 2,300 male and female singles to see whether they had already broken up with someone. The surprising result: 85 percent of women have already broken up with a partner, while the figure for men was only 61 percent.
Women need affection
But why do women break up more often? We are said to have a hard time breaking up with someone we have feelings for and want to get married to straight away. But that’s wrong.
According to the dating portal, women are more likely to send men packing because they lack affection and appreciation from their partners. The second most common reasons for breaking up are “affairs” and “lack of common ground.” Reasons number three and four, according to the survey, are “different ideas about the future” and “poor external conditions.” The last reason is “constant arguments.”
But are women and men always so honest and let the other person know the real reasons for the breakup? No! 26 percent of the singles surveyed said they had lied at least once.
